Hawaiian Border or picture shirts popular since the 1960s is an art all by itself. The design of these shirts typically follows the vertical or horizontal borders of the shirt. The design may be assymetrical, a large Hawaiian theme scenery or a vertical floral print. This unique island style required the maker to use more fabric due to the uniqueness of the design.
